Object Description
Circa 1760, early George III mahogany triple top games table. The top opens to allow one section with a felt lined surface with areas for holding drinks, etc. The second section is hinged, opening to reveal a back gammon board (inlayed into the mahogany). The curved ends lead on to a shaped apron with an oak-lined drawer and to the back are two pad foot legs, one on a mahogany hinge which pulls out to support the open table. It all stands on four cabriole legs, with tear drops to the top and finishing on a simple foot. An unusual games table.
