Object Description
Early Victorian diamond ring. Set with a cushion shape old mine diamond to centre in a closed back silver cut-down setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, further set six cushion shape old mine diamonds in closed back silver cut-down and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carat, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring a fluted central bezel, polished edges and a gadrooned closed back, flanked by shoulders with scrolling details conforming smoothly round to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1850.
