Object Description
Edwardian amethyst and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald cut natural amethyst in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.35 carats, adorned by twenty-two round eight cut diamonds set in open back claw and grain settings, with an approximate combined weight of 0.44 carats, to a linear cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shaped open backholing, leading to raised shoulders with chenier detailing, flowing to a solid D-shaped shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold shank with silver setting, circa 1905.
