Object Description

Edwardian Colombian emerald and diamond three stone cluster ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with no colour enhancement and minor clarity enhancement in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.45 carats, flanked to top and bottom by two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.65 carats, further decorated with twenty eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.00 carats, all to an ornate vertical three stone design featuring decorative openwork with polished edges, an engraved gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy shaped open backholing, leading to tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2501352672 and Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #122658.
