A fine Edwardian mahogany wash stand of elegant proportions, displaying excellent quality craftsmanship and a rich, warm colour throughout. The piece is fitted with a substantial grey and white veined marble top, surmounted by a shaped marble back framed within a well-figured mahogany superstructure, finished with classical detailing and small turned finials.
Below the marble top is a central drawer over an open recess, flanked by paneled cupboard doors, all providing practical storage while maintaining a balanced and refined appearance. The doors are fitted with decorative brass fittings, complementing the colour and grain of the mahogany. The wash stand is raised on tapered legs terminating in castors, allowing ease of movement while remaining true to its Edwardian origins.
