Object Description
Edwardian ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Siam ruby in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, encircled by twenty cushion shape mixed old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats, further set with thirty four cushion shape mixed old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.68 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.88 carats, to an elegant pierced cluster design featuring polished borders, a structured openwork gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid grooved tapering shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80253-83.
