Object Description
A delicate Ancient Egyptian glazed green faience cowroid, featuring very fine carved decoration both to the obverse and reverse. The domed obverse is carved with a cruciform rosette with curving leaves, possibly a representation of the lotus flower. The design on the underside mirrors the central flower, which is flanked on top and bottom by the weaving papyrus plants. The cowroid has been pierced longitudinally for suspension.
