Object Description

An Egyptian lapis lazuli scarab amulet featuring the head of a falcon. The scarab is realistically carved, with the elytra wing coverings marked with incised linear markings. The head rises upwards into modelled falcon-head, it’s pointed beak evident. The underside features a lug attachment, for attachment.

Date: Circa 664-525 BC
Period: Late Period
