Object Description
An Egyptian shabti figurine made in a vibrant turquoise faience. The shabti features a plain lappet wig which connects with the back pillar, and a long false beard. The arms are crossed at the chest and he holds a hoe in each hand. The reverse displays a plain dorsal pillar and a basket with hatched fibres on the left shoulder. The shabti stands on an integral base. Its facial features have been stylistically rendered to include almond-shaped eyes, a nose and small mouth.
