A very elegant Regency mahogany two drawers sofa table.
Of very fine proportions this quality mahogany sofa table has a solid rectangular top with a reeded edge and two drop flaps which extend to make the table length 58 inches / 147.5cm overall, below which are two hand cut dovetailed drawers with cockbeaded edges brass rosette knob handles and central lock.
This Regency sofa table also has the drawer arrangement mirrored to the back with false drawers so it can used freestanding with the center of a room.
Raised on a very slender splay base with reeded swept legs terminating on brass box castors this good quality sofa table has obtained a wonderful mellow colour over the years and is offered in excellent condition having been finely restored using traditional methods.
