Object Description
A Charming Late 18th Century George III Period
Burr Yew Wood Tea Caddy Having Attractive Banded
And Strung Decoration With Hinged Dome Top
Enclosing Two Lidded Compartments
(Tea caddies were used to both preserve the tea leaves, but also
to lock it away and protect it from any wandering hands. This particular
example is very attractive and the fact it is yew wood only adds to the
elegance. Another nice touch is the banded & inlaid decoration.
It also comes supplied with a fully functioning key.)
