Object Description

Unidentified English Majolica pepper/salt shaker which features a seated cat, with a self-satisfied expression on it’s face. Base in the form of a cage, impressed, ‘IVE EATEN THE CANARY’. Colouration: white, brown, green, are predominant.

Object Condition

Good. KILN EFFECTS: firing crack around the join between the cat and the base. RESTORATION. Filled chip to sprinkler. Filled chip to the underside of the base.
