Antique 18ct Yellow Gold Wirework Panel Bracelet
Description:
An antique bracelet by Eugene Fontenay for Mellerio, circa 1875. The articulated bracelet is composed of twenty-four rectangular panels, threaded on two rows of woven gold chainwork, bordered with twisted wirework and overlaid with a repeating pattern of curved wire ornaments, each intertwining to form an elliptical motif decorated with three overlapping twisted wirework spirals surmounted by a gold bead. It secures with a tongue and box clasp operated by a chased floret and is presented in its original Mellerio case.
