Object Description
A European Bronze Age bronze large awl. The awl is comprised of an uneven, rectangular midsection which tapers to a rounded point on one end, and a flattened chisel-like end on the other. The shape of the tool, with differing terminals, displays its usage for a variety of functions by craftsmen of the time. For example, they were commonly used for piercing or marking materials.
