Object Description
This extremely rare Queen Anne Britannia silver childs trefid spoon was made in London in 1697 by William Matthew and measures 6 inches in length and bears the pin prick initials of B over I*F to the reverse of the stem where it is also fully and clearly hallmarked, it has a well defined rat tail to the back of the bowl with the bowl itself being well formed with no obvious signs of wear – a rare spoon in very good condition.
