Object Description

A fine late Regency Neo-Classical designed mahogany library armchair upholstered in leather.
English Circa 1830.
Of large proportions this fine quality armchair constructed of wonderful timber has a square raised padded hand dyed leather upholstered back, the scrolled armrests having acanthus leaf carved fronts in the Neo-Classical manner flanked by a leather upholstered sprung seat, raised on turned and fluted front legs terminating on brass cup castors.
This is an extremely well drawn armchair offered in excellent condition having been restored using traditional methods and recently upholstered in top quality hand-dyed leather. Due to its size this is a very comfortable and imposing late Regency leather armchair.
