Object Description
A fine quality late 19th Century French Sevres style mantel clock, having a wonderful gilded ormolu case with an urn to the top with cobalt blue ground porcelain and an inset classical hand painted scene of a reclining cherub, lion mask handles to either side.
Below porcelain sides with floral swags, ribbon drapes and musical instruments. The central panel with the clock face having Roman numerals, an eight day duration clock movement that strikes on the hour and half hour. A further classical scene painted depicting a mother and child. Raised on scrolling and turned ormolu feet.
