Object Description
This fine and large William & Mary silver bleeding bowl was made in London in 1692 by JS and measures 8 inches from the handle across and is 2 inches tall and 5.5 inches in dia across the top. It has a nicely pierced handle to one side bearing the initials P over IR and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base and also to the underside of the handle with the lion passant, a super bowl in very good condition weighing 7.6 ounces or 237 grams.
