Object Description
A very well drawn 19th Century deep buttoned leather upholstered chesterfield on turned mahogany legs.
Having beautifully pronounced shaped scrolling arms and shaped breakfront edge this fine chesterfield has been recently upholstered in a very good quality deep buttoned hand-dyed leather hyde, dating to circa 1860-1870.
The elegant design has a sprung deep buttoned seat, back and arms making this a very comfortable chesterfield with mahogany front turned legs and brass cup castors. Definitely made by a good cabinet maker of the 19th Century as both the quality and design are first class, having a good heavy frame with a desirable breakfront.
A superb quality chesterfield having the sought after rare scrolling arms upholstered in a stunning hand dyed leather which has faded to the lovely tan/brown colour with brass studwork.
A very desirable chesterfield to any private individual with a discerning eye or collector alike.
