Object Description
This fine crested George II silver toddy ladle was made in London in 1736 by Louis Laroche and measures 13 1/8 inches in length and has a lovely lipped bowl with a drop heel to the back of the bowl where the scratch weight is engraved 2=6 and it is also fully and clearly hallmarked under the bowl and to the front of the bowl it is crested with a bird standing atop a crown. The turned wood handle is in very good condition and there are touches to this ladle that sets it apart from the ordinary ladle, the quality is lovely and the condition excellent.
