Fine Fruitwood Grand-Sonnerie Striking Vienna Regulator
Four pillar, triple train movement of short duration with dead beat escapement incorporating tall inverted v-shaped pallets regulated by a brass lenticular bon pendulum with ebonised wooden rod and with fine beat adjustment to the crutch.
The quarter train sounding on a pair of graduated gongs positioned on a T-shaped bracket behind the movement, followed by the hour train sounding the last hour on a larger gong.
One piece enamel dial with original ‘blued’ steel hands signed ‘August Tasche in Wein’ surrounded by a decorative gilded bezel.
Original four spoke brass pulley wheel and small brass cased weight.
Fine fruitwood case with a full length glazed door surmounted by a carved scroll pediment and terminating in an outswept pendant base.
