Object Description
This fine George III silver mug was made in London in 1796 by Peter and Anne Bateman and measures 4 inches tall by 4 inches from the handle across and is 2 5/8 inches in dia across the base, it has a cast double scrolled handle with acanthus leaf thumb piece and is free from engravings and fully and clearly hallmarked under the base – a lovely mug in excellent condition weighing 6.10 ounces or 190 grams.
