Object Description
FINE early 19th century Georgian solid mahogany extending dining table in completely original condition. Nice shape, not too thick, turned legs with original brass castors with thick solid oak pull out frame. The table has a nice thumb mould around the edge of the top and is complete with ALL the original leaves. The table is also complete with all its original Nettlefolds patented brass catches. There is a rack inside the frame for putting the catches in when the leaves are not in.
The frame of the table is in first class condition and is as tight as the day it was made. One of the nice features of this table is the frame is set well back from the edge so it is really easy to sit to with nothing to get in the way.
The base of the table has its original waxed finish. The top has been professionally re-finished in Edwardian times but retains a very nice colour and patination.
The table will seat 12 people easily.
