Object Description
This fine Georgian silver vinaigrette was made in Birmingham in 1828 by John Betteridge and measures 1 9/16 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide and is 7/16 inches deep, it has engine turned engraving to the lid and the base and 4 cast foliate panels to the lid and a central oblong vacant cartouche and it has cast foliate edges around the base also, it is gilded to the interior and has a lovely scrolling leaf grille with a central flower head and is beautifully pierced and engraved, it is fully and clearly hallmarked to the top and base inside and is in very good condition.
