Object Description
This super quality, heavy Provincial George I Britannia standard silver tazza was made in Exeter in 1717 by Andrew Worth and measures 8 inches in dia by 3 inches in dia across the trumpet foot and stands 2.25 inches tall, it bears the engraved initials of H over EE and the date 1716 underneath and is fully and clearly hallmarked to the top and unusually to the foot with the makers mark, Britannia and the town mark, a superb piece of Provincial silver in excellent condition weighing 11.95 ounces or 371 grams.
