Object Description
A fine quality French Louis XVI style bombe shaped commode with its original Breccia marble top, a serpentine moulded edge. Exquisite floral marquetry to the two drawers and sides, gilded ormolu rococo influenced scrolling foliate mounts and raised on elegant out swept legs and scrolling feet.
Attributed to Francois Linke.
François Linke (1855-1946) is renowned as one of the most important and celebrated cabinetmakers (ébénistes) of all time.
