A fine antique mahogany centre / silver table in the Chinese Chippendale taste.
English Circa 1900.
Dating from the English Edwardian period this finely designed table has taken its form from the 18th Century Chinese Chippendale era when the height of fashion was to have furnishings in the Chinese style.
Having a solid mahogany top of serpentine shaped form outlined with a rosette and ribbon twisted moulding, over an arcading blind fretwork frieze joined by turned rails and pierced scrolled brackets.
Raised on four cluster column supports united by a dual columned X frame stretcher.
Offered in excellent condition with a fine colour.
This practical table can be used in a variety of rooms within the home as either a serving table, side table or centre table.
