A Very Fine Quality And Rare Pair Of Late 18th
Century, Georgian, Sheraton Period Occasional Work Tables
With Inlaid And Geometrically Veneered Decoration
Incorporating Mainly Satinwood And Rosewood
Having Hinged Lids, Enclosing Fittings To One Table,
Raised On Elegant Square Tapered Legs United
By Cross Stretchers Terminating With Sabre Feet

(This wonderful pair of tables are incredibly beautiful.
Despite the dimensions being identical you can
see from the images that there are variations in the
veneers and inlaid decoration, which in a way makes
the tables even more interesting to look at. One of the
tables retains it’s original divisions with some interesting
old sewing related paraphernalia. They have been
immaculatey looked after over the years with no visible
signs of significant damage over the years other than the
expected old marks, scratches, scuffs and scrapes. These
would be a charming and elegant addition to almost any
setting, and could of course now be used for many different
purposes including just with a lamp resting on, somewhere
to perch your glass of wine, or even to store your sewing
equipment in.)
