Fine Pair of Art Deco Period Candelabra

Object Description

A beautiful pair of three sconce table candelabra.
Fer Forges ( wrought iron),patinated & with tooled & chased decoration to the surface of the metal.
With markers mark for Charles Piguet to each base.

Object History

Charles Piguet (1887-1942) was born in Switzerland & studied at the l’Ecole des Arts Industriels de Geneve.
Other important decorative artists that also studied at the school include Jean Dunand & Marcel Sandoz.
Charles Piguet exhibited at the Salon d’Automne & Salon des Arts Decoratifs.
He collaborated with Caudius Linossier,one of the most important dinandiers of the Art Deco Period & settled in Lyons which was a city known for Ferronnier d’Art & art metal work.
