Object Description

A fine quality early 19th century (circa 1815) Regency rosewood breakfast table of exceptional patina (colour).

This table consists of a superbly figured rectangular rosewood top with fine brass inlaid geometric decoration and outer banding of goncalo alves with fine quality laurel leaf and ribbon ormolu moulding, rosewood frieze below and further ormolu floral moulding, the top can either be secured down or tilted as required.

The table is supported on a four splay pedestal base with tapered rosewood column having a recessed panel to all sides with brass ball bead moulded edge and outer rosewood border.

This leading down to the base with brass stringing, the four legs with fine quality brass leaf mount, brass paterae and brass stringing terminating with brass dolphin head castors.

This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
