A fine quality and elegant English Regency rosewood and brass sofa table.
This table consists of a finely figured rosewood veneered top leading down to a crossbanded moulded edge.
The table having two drawers to the front with brass moulding, each drawer having two brass leopard mask drop handles with central escutcheon and one working key, the drawer fronts of rosewood with cedar linings, this adding to the quality of the piece.
To either side of the drawers an outer panel with brass moulding and applied brass anthemion and scroll mount with a brass moulding below, this design replicated to the back of the table with two dummy drawers.
The table is supported by two moulded leg supports with recessed panels and brass moulding with elegant high-set stretcher, this adding to the elegance and attractiveness of the table.
This leads down to an outer panel with brass moulding and applied brass anthemion mount, the elegant tapered shaped legs with brass moulding all terminating on original brass castors.
This table is in very good original condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
