Object Description
A fine quality French 19th Century Louis XVI style bombe fronted vitrine / display cabinet. Having wonderful scrolling foliate gilded ormolu mounts, bombe shaped glass to the front and sides. Glass adjustable shelves within, a single door to the front with quartered veneers to the panel below. Raised on elegant out sqepted scrolling legs.

François Linke (1855-1946) is renowned as one of the most important and celebrated cabinetmakers (ébénistes) of all time. Born in 1855 in the Czech Republic, Linke moved to Paris in 1875, where he began working with the established cabinetmaker Joseph-Emmanuel Zweiner.
