Object Description
A fine quality mid 19th century (circa 1840) mahogany segmented tilt top breakfast table or centre table of fine patina (colour).
This table consists of a superbly figured curl mahogany segmented circular top of fine patina leading down to a curl mahogany veneered frieze with moulded edge below.
The base consists of an elegant tapered octagonal column with octagonal collar below with outer circular moulded collar supported on a tri-form concave platform base terminating with three finely carved foliate scroll feet.
This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home – this table being both a highly decorative item as well as an extremely practical table.
