Object Description
This rare Provincial lace back trefid spoon was made C1690 by William Webb of Winchester and measures just under 8 inches in length, to the back of the stem it has the initials R*B over S*B 1690 above flowing initials of HE, where it also bears the makers mark struck thrice and the town mark, it has a long well defined rat tail to the back of the bowl with lacing either side that is still sharp and well defined and to the front of the stem it has lacing at the top of the stem either side of a rat tail. The bowl is well formed and of good gauge and it is in excellent condition weighing 1.95 ounces or 60 grams.
