A fine quality Regency antique rosewood and brass inlaid chiffonier of diminutive proportions with waterfall superstructure.
English, Circa 1810-15.
This fine quality Regency chiffonier decorated with brass inlay has a two tier upstand surmounted by an ornate fretted brass gallery. The brass strung shelves flanked by two ‘S’ shaped supporting scrolls to either side with conforming brass stringing united by a crossbanded panelled back. Below which is finely bead moulded panel and a silk lined brass grilled door, flanked with decorative brass inlay, opening to reveal a rosewood veneered shelve.
Standing on bulbous turned feet this eye catching chiffonier is in excellent condition having been fully restored using traditional methods retaining a great colour. Very rare to find a chiffonier of such a diminutive size, not only ideal for any hallway / entrance hall / landing but also a very decorative item for the living room.
