Object Description
Superb, highest quality, Scottish small size Bonheur-de-jour or Ladies desk by Morrison & Co. of Edinburgh. Made from mahogany and satinwood with various boxwood and ebony line inlays and brass decoration. The drawers are all cedar lined throughout with all the original locks and brass handles. Square tapered legs with boxwood & Ebony line inlay and original brass castors. I think the green baize inside is even original. Every brass lock is stamped by the lock maker and also Morrison & Co. Edinburgh. You couldn’t wish for a better example !!
SIZE; 30″ wide by 18″ deep by 35″ high overall. 29 1/2″ to the top when closed up. Writing height when folded out is 28 1/2″.
