Object Description
A finely carved late 19th century Black Forest linden wood storage jar (possibly a tobacco jar) in the form of an owl with good original patina (colour).
The finely carved owl having glass set eyes, the head section being a detachable lid for the jar, all on a naturalistic base of ivy leaves with good original patina.
This carved figure is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
