Rachel studied at Central St. Martin’s in the 1980s. After a successful career as an illustrator in 2007 she decided to concentrate on painting full time. A highly skilled draughtsman she looks to reveal the beauty in the day to day through close studies of isolated objects. She has exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy and The Sunday times Watercolour Competition. In 2010 Rachel won the Art Exposure Award at The Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and in March 2012 was runner up in the Lynn Painter Stainers Prize Exhibition.
