Object Description

A finely cast Luristan bronze arrowhead featuring a triangular blade with square shoulders. The prominent central midrib leads to a short stem and a narrow tang for fitting onto the wooden shaft. The arrowhead is fitted in a custom frame.

The arrowhead is roughly 9.6cm in length; 2.1cm in width.

N.B. The measurements below include frame.

Date: Circa 1200-600 BC

Object Condition

Good condition, minor chips to the blade, including the tip and one of the barbs, consistent with age. Patination and encrustation to the surface.
