French Empire gilt bronze and mahogany console table

This elegant console table is a superb example of French Empire period design. The console table features a veined grey marble top, which is set above the mahogany frame of the table. The apron features a large drawer, which is mounted to either side with gilt bronze rosettes and set to the centre with a rosette flanked by long laurel branches. The table is supported atop a wooden base by four legs, the back two of square profile and the front two elegantly curved. The front legs terminate in paw feet, and features pierced gilt bronze mounts to their tops.
