Object Description
A large and stylish French Art Nouveau copper vase decorated with a silver overlay pattern signed Dubois and dating from around 1900. The tall bulbous shaped vase stands on a narrow flat round base and is hand crafted with a circular silver metal collar applied to the top of the vase and creating the opening. The vase is decorated with a simple stylized overlay leaf design incorporating small diamond shaped patterns with a simple line border around the should of the vase. The vase has an incised signature mark reading Dubois to the base. While we have not identified the artist we have certainly found a number of vases of similar style and from the same period. Obviously fashionable at the time this large and imposing vase would enhance any interior.
