Object Description
Circa 1870, French rosewood and satinwood bureau de dame. With three quarter wrap around brass and gilded gallery, inlaid decoration to the top and a short, shaped flap with floral marquetry inlay. It has a simple interior with 3 drawers with rosewood veneers and oak lining, and the writing surface sliding back to reveal a small storage area beneath. The concave shaped apron rounds the front and sides, and it is all free standing. It is supported on cabriole legs, tapering down to cast brass and gilded sabots; it has its original key.
