Object Description
Fine late 18th century George 3rd Scottish mahogany wine box on stand. The wine box is of oblong form with moulded “caddy” top. Nice mahogany used with boxwood stringing. Original chunky brass carrying handles to both sides, original brass escution and original large iron lock with working key. The inside has all its original oak divisions. The wine box is high enough for a modern wine bottle to stand inside. Lovely colour with original patination and waxed finish.
