Object Description

A rare antique silver cup of small size. Probably a small tot or it may be a tiny egg cup. To the front is a large hand engraved armorial within a shield.
Weight 24 grams, less than 1 troy ounce.
Contains 25 ml.
Height 4.8cm. Diameter 4.2cm.
London 1726.
Maker possibly George Weir.
Sterling silver

GEORGE WEIR
George Weir, London silver maker, no record of apprenticeship or freedom. Two marks (Sterling and New Standard) entered as largeworker, 27th July 1727.

Object Condition

The silver cup is in good condition. The engraving is still sharp. Stamped with a full set of English silver hallmarks.
