Marks. Cast tapersticks produced in the first half of the 17th century were more than usually hallmarked underneath in each of the four corners. This little sticks is completely unmarked, probably made by the silversmith as a gift for a friend or family member, however even without the date mark we can ascertain from the transitional style that it was made during the late George II period.
