Object Description
Circa 1740. A Good George III oak lowboy. The rectangular top with canted corners, in quarter sawn oak, with tea caddy fore-edge and low gallery to the back, with a configuration of one narrow drawer flanked by two deep drawers, each with original cast brass swan neck handles with pierced back plate. Beneath the centre drawer there is a wonderful fretwork cut frieze, with shaped apron on all sides. The table stands on four simple cabriole legs with solid quarter blocks finishing on a pad foot with a raised turned section. The lowboy has good colour and patination.
