Object Description
A charming pair of antique sterling silver salvers (or waiters) of square form raised on shaped feet. Very simple style. Good patina. Weight 375 grams, 12 troy ounces. Width 12.8cm. Height 1.5cm. London 1725. Maker Edward Feline.
Biography – Edward Feline, apprenticed to Augustin Courtauld 1709, free 1721. First two marks entered as largeworker 1720, third mark 1739. His son Edward was apprenticed to him 1745. Died circa 1753 when his widow Magdalen entered her own mark.
