A fine George III burr walnut chest, beautifully figured and retaining excellent colour and patination, mounted on a later walnut stand. The chest offers two short drawers over three long graduated drawers, each finished in rich book-matched burr walnut and fitted with brass swan-neck handles. The later stand complements the chest well, featuring a shaped apron with gilt shell carvings, cabriole legs and classic ball-and-claw feet.
