Object Description
Circa 1800. A late George III carved wood, gesso and gilded mirror. The top surmounted with pierced foliate carving in the form of a cartouche, the moulded frame with carved and gilded leaves to the side. The frame is intersected by carved flower heads and C scrolls throughout, at the base the sweeping corners with foliate carving and finishing in the center with a small cluster of flower heads. The frame retains the original mirror with slight foxing in one location.
