Object Description

Circa 1810, late George III inlaid rosewood sarcophagus shaped tea caddy. The top with raised rectangular platform, framed with boxwood inlay, and hinged lid opening to 2 original fittings and central aperture for a mixing bowl. With diamond shaped escutcheon, lifting handles to the sides with lion mask back plates and on cast, gilded and engraved bun feet.
